Count the Jelly Beans
March 1-30

Visit the Park District Community Center to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar.  Stop by between March 1- 30 to submit your guess (limit one guess per child).  Two prizes (not the jelly beans) will be awarded for the guesses closest to the count. This contest is for children ages 3-12.

Start the day with a HOP!  Join us and the Easter Bunny for a fun morning filled with a magic show, lite breakfast bites, face painting and balloon art.  Pre-registration is required for this special event- no walk-ins.  Must be registered for the event to attend Magic Show.

Join us for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Prospect Park! Daddy Daughter Date Night – Princess Ball

Invite your little princess to a night of dinner and dancing.  Dads and daughters will start the night with a craft, and dinner before the dancing begins.  The photo booth will be open throughout the night to capture the special moments for the couple and friends.  We’ll finish the evening with a sweet dessert.  Each couple will leave with a memento to remember their special evening.


Earth Day Celebration

Spend the morning outdoors to celebrate Earth Day with building a bird feeder and planting a flower. Take part in games and face painting. Don’t forget to do some spring cleaning and bring gym shoes and crayons to our recycling station.

Concert in the Park with Jeanie B! and Sidewalk Chalk Fest

Head to Prospect Park for a free children's concert. Beep bop to the music by award winning children's entertainer, Jeanie B! After the concert the Park District is hosting a Sidewalk Chalk Fest from 11:45am-12:30pm. Decorate the park pathway into a work of art. Chalk will be provided.


Ice Cream Social

Celebrate National Ice Cream Month and join us at Prospect Park Pavilion for vanilla ice cream with yummy toppings to choose from to create your ice cream sundae. Arrange to meet your neighbors or new families while enjoying the park and a frosty treat.


Fishing Derby

Prospect Park Ponds

Grab your pole and head over to Prospect Park for our Annual Fishing Derby. The pond will be stocked with farm-raised catfish and bass for the event. Trophies will be awarded for the Longest Fish caught in each age group; 7 & under, 8-12, 13-17 and 18 & under. This is a catch and release event and a two pole limit will enforced. Don't forget to bring a bucket, bait and fishing pole. This is a free event for Clarendon Hills residents.

Moana, an adventurous teenager sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, she meets the mighty Demigod Maui and convinces him to help her. Touch A Truck

Come out for TRUCK LOADS of FUN at our Touch-a-Truck event in Prospect Park (Prospect School Parking Lot). It is a family event that showcases many types and kinds of transportation, trucks and machinery. It is an open, FREE family friendly event that gives children (and adults) a chance to see, up-close, the large machines that make us go "ooooohhhh and ahhhhhhh". From dump trucks to fire engines and large machinery equipment, your child will be able to climb on it all! (Event moved to August for 2018 due to the Park Operation Facility construction project scheduled to conclude in late September).
