Family Fall Festival

Start the fall season off with family fun at Prospect Park. A great event with a petting zoo, inflatables, hay rack rides, entertainment, food and beverages. Pick out your luck pumpkin for the Pumpkin Roll.

Prospect Park Campfire

Prospect Park Counsel Ring

Join the Clarendon Hills Park District as we sit around the campfire eating ooey-gooey s’mores and singing good ole’ fashion campfire songs! Kids will have a chance to participate in some glow-in-the dark games during our night under the stars. REMEMBER to bring your roasting stick for yummy s’mores and a flashlight. We’ll supply the rest!

Halloween House Decorating Contest
Wednesday, October 25

Clarendon Hills is the place to be if Halloween is your family’s favorite holiday. We are looking for the best decorated houses in town. Enter our Halloween House Decorating Contest. All houses will be judged on creativity, originality and arrangement. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place; winners will receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant. Email your Name and Address to by Monday, October 23 by 5:00pm. Houses will be judged on the evening of Wednesday, October 25 between 6:00-7:30pm. All decorations must be put up by you and your family members in order to participate. Winners will be announced via the Clarendon Hills Park District Facebook page on Friday, October 27.

Pumpkin Masterpieces

Grab your friends for some after school Halloween fun. Let your imagination unfold to create your own pumpkin design using paints. Pumpkins and snacks will be provided. Remember to dress in your painting clothes – we will be using some non-washable paints. Registration is required for this free event Program # 865300-02 and there is maximum of 35.

Test your free throw skills this morning with parent/child teams. Children and a parent (or another adult) will be ready to put your best shot forward with 10 free throws each. The top scoring team in each age group will receive a prize. Shooting line and basket height will vary by age group for children and the adults will shoot from the free throw line and 10’ basket.

Gingerbread House Decorating

With festive holiday music playing in the background decorate your very own gingerbread house at the Community Center. Pizza and drinks will be served as you spend time with your friends picking and choosing which candies and icing to decorate with. Gingerbread houses will be preassembled.

Lunch with Santa

Your family is invited to spend the afternoon with Santa ringing in holiday cheer with music, crafts and lunch. Santa is excited to decorate cookies with all the little ones and hear what is on their “Wish List”.

Registration is required; Code $8/$10 per couple. $5/$7 add’l child or grandparent

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Grandparents start a new holiday tradition with a night out of festivities. We’ll start with holiday crafts followed by a light dinner. We will end the quality time evening with a big game of BINGO. Everyone will leave with a smile spreading holiday cheer.

Letters from Santa
November 1-December 8

Registration is required; Code 863300-01 $5 a letter

Ho ho ho! BELIEVE IN THE MAGIC OF SANTA. Share in the excitement with your child, who will receive a letter from Santa in the mail. Each letter will be personalized and filled with the Christmas Spirit. Pick up the questionnaire at the Park District office or the website beginning November 1st.
